We're talking about juice. No, not the health diet kick, but where to find a great deal on a tasty treat.
While we're at it, I'll show you an easy way to help make your berries last long in the refrigerator.
Did you know? January 15 is National Juice Day. What does that mean for you? Well, it means you could find a great deal on juice.
One deal I found is at Juby True. They specialize in making cold-pressed juices, smoothies and hydrating waters. On Wednesday, the first 100 people will be able to try one of their eight 16-ounce cold-press juices. Yum! Juby True is located in the Scottsdale Quarter.
Berries are delicious, especially when they're ripe and juicy. The problem is that they often go bad after a few days.
I was sent this awesome article from Buzz Feed Foods on how to properly store your food items, including berries. They recommend putting your berries in a large bowl. Then add one part vinegar and ten parts of water. Then place the berries in the mixture, drain and then rinse. This will allow you to store your strawberries and blueberries in the refrigerator for a week or two.
You can also store berries in the freezer, which is a great for smoothies. However, if you let them thaw after being frozen they can get a bit mushy.
