Harkins movie deal: Keep the kids cool, busy all summer without going broke

PHOENIX - Summer time means the kids are out of school and it's scorching hot outside. But don't make that an excuse to keep the kids inside all day.

Take them to the movies for less than $1 per movie!

Harkins is back with its Summer Movie Fun program for kids. Children 12 and under can see 10 movies for $7.

The movies are all repeats and include Madagascar 3, The Lorax, Charlotte's Web, Ice Age 4 and several others.

Here's how it works: You have to choose a specific theater and a specific day of the week.

All of the movies show at 9:45, regardless of the theater you choose.

Tickets are the same price for adults and children. However, adults will not be admitted unless a child accompanies them.

You have to go to your preferred theater to buy the tickets, and you will want to buy them right away because they do sell out quickly.

Tickets are on sale now and the first movie shows the week of May 27 and the last movie is the week of July 29.

This is a great deal considering a matinee will cost you more than $7.

So now the kids can stay cool and entertained without breaking your wallet.
