Free fun for the family over the holiday season

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas with all of the free events this month.

The Sixth Annual Carefree Christmas Festival starts Friday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It's three days and two nights of holiday activities for the whole family!

There will be an electric light parade, a fireworks display and real snow for the kids to play in. On Saturday, Dec. 14, ABC15's Iris Hermosillo will be emcee for the parade.

And Sam's Club is giving you a chance to start shopping early for the holidays with a free open house Friday through Sunday.

That means you can shop the whole weekend at any of their locations across the nation without a membership or any surcharges.
 

Get off your feet at the Westgate City Center Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.

They are having free holiday carriage rides throughout the holiday season.

The 4th Annual Holiday Pet Festival is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

There will be free and discounted vaccinations, flyball races and pet photos with Santa.

There will also be lots of interactive activities and of course, hundreds of animals looking for a new home.

But if you're not ready for the holidays, there are other free things you can do.

Bank of America's Museums on Us is offering cardholders free admission to more than 150 museums in the U.S., including the Phoenix Art Museum.


The countdown is on and Santa has Cabela's on his list. You can meet Jolly St. Nick and get a 4 x 6 photo and Cabela's keepsake frame to take with you or take a photo with your own camera or phone and be on your way. Just stop by between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.
