Eating out? Where to get lunch for $3

Save money when going out to eat for lunch during the week. I went on the hunt to find good tasting and good quality food and found several good deals.

I set a price point of $3 or less and when I asked folks on my Facebook page to share if they knew of any places, I got a ton of leads. Here's what I found:

I'm sure you all know of Sprouts Farmer's Market selling sandwiches for $2.99. They sell those sandwiches daily at their deli counter. You can choose from several types of breads and meats plus condiments are all included in that price. If you want two slices of cheese, avocado or bacon it will cost you $.50 extra. Either way it is a homemade sandwich for cheap.

Next stop is Pat's Pizza Plus. It's located on the southwest corner of 12th Street and Glendale Avenue in Phoenix. Weekdays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. you can purchase two big slices of cheese pizza and a 16-ounce fountain drink for $3 plus tax. Single slices are $1.50 and toppings are $.40 per topping. I would recommend you bring some cash because they will only accept credit or debit cards for purchases made for $5 or more.

Mamma Mia at 40th Street and Indian School Road offers the same deal but for a little more, $3.50 plus tax. Their slices are $1.50 each and toppings are $.50 per topping. At Mamma Mia you can get those slices from open to close seven days a week.
