Does the Presto Salad Shooter slice and dice without any hassle?

Don't you just hate spending the time shredding, and slicing food? Well the makers of Salad Shooter claim their product is fast and easy to clean. Will it work? Let me try it before you buy it.

We tried out the Salad Shooter by Presto on carrots, apples, bananas, onions, pickles, potatoes, and mozzarella cheese.

We bought the Salad Shooter online from Bed Bath and Beyond for $34.99.

The Salad Shooter was very easy to use. We cut up our veggies and fruit. Then we decided on either the shredding, or slicing cone and put the food in the food chamber, and pressed down using the food guide.

The first thing we tried were apples. And if you want to make a delicious apple pie, the slicing cone works great. It got our apples nicely thin and sliced.

Then we used the same slicing cone on bananas. Make sure to put them in the freezer for a couple of minutes to keep them from being mushy. The slicer worked great on this too.

With the shredding cone we shredded carrots, pickles, and cheese. All of these turned out great. We even used the finely shredded carrots to make carrot burgers and we used the shredded pickles to make relish.

Clean up was a breeze. All you have to do is stick all the parts, except the motorized base into the dishwasher.

And because the Salad Shooter was easy to use and clean up was easy, I give it a thumbs up. It definitely lived up to the claim. All the food we tried came out nicely sliced and shredded.
