Does the Potato Express really cook potatoes in 4 minutes?

You can do so many things with potatoes. But baking them in the oven can take forever.

The Potato Express is supposed to cook your potatoes in just four minutes.

But will it work? Let me try it before you buy it.

The instructions say to put one to four potatoes into the bag and close the flap.

Put it in the microwave and cook for four minutes.

Sounds simple enough, so I tried it out.

Four minutes later, my potato is done.

When I cut it in half, it was cooked all the way through.

Not bad.

But I had to see if I could get the same results without the bag.

I took two potatoes, poked holes in one, and then put each potato in the microwave for four minutes.

And guess what, both potatoes were also cooked all the way through.

Finally the oven... I poked holes in one potato and put another in foil.

40 minutes later, both of those potatoes are done.

So overall the Potato Express easily cooked my potato in four minutes so it lived up to its claim.

And I have to admit, four minutes is definitely more appealing than 40 minutes.

But honestly I can't see a reason for spending $10 on the Potato Express since I was able to do the same job without it.
