I love corn on the cob but it's not the neatest thing to eat.
The OXO corn stripper is supposed to remove kernels from the cob with ease. But will it work? Let me try it before you buy it.
The instructions don't say whether I should cook the corn first or not so I tried it both ways.
You simply place the blade into the corn and push down until the corn is fully stripped.
At first it was very easy with the cooked corn. The kernels came right off, and most of them went directly into the container. Still, some of the kernels were stuck together.
I followed the same method with the raw corn and things just got worse. The front of the container came off and the corn spilled everywhere.
I tried it several times using cooked and raw corn, and it continued to make a mess.
I bought the OXO corn stripper for about $10 and I have to say I don't think it's a good buy.
I give the OXO corn stripper a thumbs down.
