Daphne tries Stream Clean to see if it will eliminate stains and odors

Carpet stains are so annoying because it seems nothing gets all the stains out.

But Stream Clean is supposed to do the job.

The claim is it will immediately eliminate stains and odor without scrubbing. In fact you shouldn't even have to bend down.

But will it work? Let me try it before you buy it.

Stream Clean cost $10 at Target and it's supposed to work on everything from pet stains, coffee, dirt, even wine.

So we tried it all.

I had a year-old red wine so we sprayed Stream Clean following the instructions -- just point and spray.

Immediately the red wine stain started to disappear. Wow!

But once we let it dry the stain seemed to come back. Not as red as before but it didn't completely disappear.

We also have a dried coffee stain.

Again, it immediately disappeared but after letting it dry, the stain started to creep back.

Next we tried to clean an old pet urine stain and that one disappeared too.

But this time, it didn't come back.

Last we spilled grape juice on a piece of white carpet.

Stream Clean didn't seem to make much of a difference at all.

I found that when trying to clean up wet stains, Stream Clean didn't do so well.

But on older stains, I was somewhat impressed.

Still it didn't completely remove most of the stains, so I have to give it a thumbs down.
