Celebrate July 4 with some gelato and free fireworks shows

Live in the west side of the Valley? Head to Westgate Fireworks Fest on the 4th. It is free to get into the events. They will have live music plus an all American classic car show> The party starts at 5 p.m. and the free fireworks show will start at 9 p.m.

Mesa Convention Center is offering some free entertainment on Friday the 4th. The event starts at 6 p.m. and fireworks will start at 9:45 p.m. and end at 10:05 p.m. During the event you can see a Revolutionary war re-enactment each hour starting at 7 p.m. They will have another show at 8 p.m. and the last one is at 9 p.m.  They will have replica firearms and a replica cannon so expect some loud noises from the re-enactment.

At the Ahwatukee Country Club on Thursday, July 3rd they will have live music, sky divers and a color guard march. The event starts at 5 p.m. and fireworks will start at 9 p.m. The event is free but if you want to stay cool the Boom! Room area will cost you $15 to $25, plus parking costs $10.

In Phoenix, at Steele Indian School Park, is the Fabulous Phoenix 4th free fireworks event. The Friday event starts at 6 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. and last for 20 minutes. It is one of largest free Fourth of July celebrations happening. They will have live music, a kid’s water zone and a car show. They will have food and non-alcoholic drinks for sale but you can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks to the event.
