A Second Look is a consignment store that looks like a department store, but without the prices. Not only do they sell used stuff, but they often buy manufacturers' closeout or overstocks.
The store is huge and they even recently expanded, adding more space. Plus, they have a café that makes homemade breads like soft dough pretzel sticks and coffee drinks. The store is very organized and easy to navigate. Some of the items they sell are even new. All of the items that come in for consignment go through an eight-stage process from inspection to tagging and they even steam their clothes before they go out on the sale racks.
They also have some great deals. One of the really popular items that fly off the shelves is their shoes and I have to say most of the shoes look barely used. They sell men’s clothes, from suits, to cotton knit shirts, and shoes. Not only do they sell clothes, shoes, for both men and women, but they have a huge selection of house wares, from dishes to luggage and the list goes on.
A Second Look also offers dated markdowns, which means if an item has been in the store awhile after 30 days, you get to take 25 percent off the price and after 45 days 50 percent off. After 60 days you can take 75 percent off the price listed.
If you take your chances and wait on something you like, you might even be able to score a better price, but you do take that chance of the item selling and you may be left with nothing.
Either way, if you like to shop at department stores but don’t like the prices and want a huge variety of items at a great price than check out A Second Look.
