3 ways to keep your cool for free

Stay cool and keep your wallet full with all sorts of freebies.

Keep the kids busy for free at Home Depot's free workshop Saturday, July 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The kids will work on a surprise craft involving Despicable Me 2.

The kids will go home with the craft they make, plus they will get a workshop apron, a commemorative pin and a certificate.

The free classes are for kids 5 to 12 years old at all Home Depot locations.

If the kids are more into science, head over to the Sam Garcia Western Avenue Library Saturday, July 6, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Kids ages 6 to 12 can play with science by mixing up ingredients and watching bubbly eruptions.

And cool off with yogurt at Yogurtland on Monday, July 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The free yogurt is only valid at three Yogurtland locations... Avondale, ASU and Dana Park.

The Dana Park location will also have face painting, a balloon artist and a DJ later in the evening.

Yogurtland is celebrating their new summer flavors inspired by Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Road Runner, Taz and Marvin the Martian.
