Thinking of buying someone in your family a smart phone for Christmas, but that $199 price tag is a little too much?
Then Walmart may have just stepped in to the rescue.
The iPhone 5C will get a huge price cut on Friday in Walmart stores, just in time for holiday shopping.
The chain will offer the phone for $27 with a new two-year contract from AT&T or Verizon -- a 70 percent discount from the original $99 price when it was released in stores last September.
The plastic-bodied cell phone hasn't been selling as well as hoped since its release date.
Other Apple Markdowns
Other Apple products will receive a markdown as well.
The iPhone 5S is available during the sale for $127 with a two-year contract.
Walmart is also offering a $50 gift card with the 16 GB iPad mini.
The prices will be in effect Friday at 8 a.m. through Dec. 24 or while supplies last. It just might make a great stocking stuffer for that special someone.
As always, don't waste your money.
