Tolleson officers are trying to get more information on random horse shooting Monday morning

TOLLESON, AZ - Tolleson Police officers responded to a call Monday morning regarding reports of an injured horse.

Tolleson officers say the horse had been shot twice by an unknown type of firearm, according to a news release.

The horse was in a field just east of 91st Avenue but it could have been shot by someone standing in the field between Christa Way and the Interstate 10 freeway.

They are also suspecting that the shooting could have been a random act.

The horse was alive throughout Monday, but the its current conditions are unknown.
