TOLLESON, AZ - Police arrested a Tolleson woman after she allegedly hit her son in the arm with a baseball bat.
According to court documents, Adelina Bonfiglio Ochoa, 40, hit the teen for being upset that he was out all day and didn't tell her where he was.
Police learned of the incident when they were called to Gonzales Elementary School for a report of child abuse.
Officials told police an eighth grade student told him that his mother had struck him in the arm, causing a bruise.
The alleged incident occurred at the boy's home on Sept. 19.
Ochoa was interviewed by detectives and she admitted to hitting the 13-year-old in the arm with the baseball bat "because she was upset with her son for staying out all day long and not informing her of his whereabouts."
Ochoa was jailed on one count of child abuse.
