In an undercover investigation, the Surprise Police Department arrested a man for the sexual exploitation of minors, including his sister.
On Tuesday, Mark Cary, 38, was arrested after admitting to taking part in the exploitation of minors in an online chat room, police said.
According to police, an undercover investigator entered a chat room, using an online persona, and encountered Cary who was reportedly sharing pictures of minors, some of which were of his 16-year-old sister.
Investigators said Cary discussed engaging in sexual activities with minors to the undercover persona. Cary was then identified using emails, social media and internet addresses.
The Surprise Police Department said Cary confessed in an interview to downloading and sharing explicit photos of minors on his cell phone.
Cary was arrested and booked for eight counts of sexual exploitation of minors with a requested bail of $100,000 by the Surprise Police Department.
