Surprise police looking for suspect after woman's purse taken from grocery cart

SURPRISE, AZ - The Surprise Police Department has a warning for shoppers after a victim had her purse stolen at a grocery store last month.

According to police, the suspect took the woman’s purse from her grocery cart while she was shopping.

The suspect used the victim’s bank card at a local grocery store and tried to use it elsewhere.

Police say the suspect later used one of the victim’s retail-specific credit cards to make online purchases.

Police want to remind shoppers to keep valuables in your line of sight or on your body to deter this type of activity.

The suspect left the store in a white Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, according to police.
