Surprise PD asks public's help in identifying 2 robbery suspects

SURPRISE, AZ - Police in Surprise, Ariz. are looking for two suspects who held workers at a fast food establishment at gunpoint before robbing the business.

According to the Surprise Police Department, on Monday, June 30 around 4 a.m. two males entered a fast food restaurant near Litchfield and Yearling roads.

Both suspects showed black handguns during the robbery, and one of them held employees at gun point while the other ordered an employee to open a safe.

The suspects fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the first suspect, who was captured in store video cameras, as an African-American male who was wearing a fedora hat and wig, a green shirt, khaki pants and gloves.

The second suspect, who was not captured in surveillance photos, was described as a Hispanic male who was wearing a mask or bandana over his face.

Officials are asking individuals with information about the suspects or the crime to call the Surprise Police Department at (623) 222-4000. Individuals can also call Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS or (480) TESTIGO to leave their message in Spanish.
