SURPRISE, AZ - A little girl was reunited with her parents Tuesday night after a neighbor found the child wandering alone in a Surprise neighborhood.
Surprise police lieutenant John Bacon said the little girl slipped out of her home near 172nd Avenue and Lundberg while her mother went to check the mail.
Police said the girl's father was inside the house and did not hear the girl get out. Authorities said both parents are hearing impaired.
A neighbor found the toddler and called police.
Air15 video showed the little girl being reunited with her parents. Firefighters treated the little girl for abrasions to her feet, but she is expected to be okay.
Police said they do not expect to file criminal charges.
