A female acquaintance of the man told police he had several firearms in his home.

Officers said residents in the area were asked to leave and the Dysart School District was told to make arrangements with parents to pick their kids up from school.

Authorities said when the SWAT team sent a robot into the man's home; he picked it up and played with it.

Donovan said shortly after 6:45 p.m., the man surrendered and is now getting psychiatric help.
