SUN CITY, SUN CITY WEST, AZ - Two men have been arrested, and police are looking for two others, related to break-ins of multiple homes in the northwest Valley.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Monday the two men arrested were the "masterminds" behind the operation that resulted in at least 51 residential burglaries in Sun City and Sun City West.
MCSO arrested Marco Elias Martinez, 20, and Arvin Toledo Garcia, 28. Both men admitted to authorities their involvement in the crimes.
Authorities said they are looking for two additional men connected to the robberies.
Arpaio said the four men would target homes when occupants were on vacation and then kick-in the door to gain entry. Then the men would steal high dollar items, such as flat screen TVs, jewelry, firearms and computers.
"My warning to all criminals is to stay out of the Sun City, Sun City West communities, preying on the elderly, because we will use every resource, including crime suppression operations, and the numerous pieces of equipment at our disposal to locate you and throw you in jail," said Arpaio in an emailed release.
Thirty undercover and uniformed detectives, and posse members, surveyed the area over the weekend.
