Teen arrested after school threats made online to Liberty High School in Peoria

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after threats were made to Liberty High School in Peoria. 

According to Peoria Police, the Liberty High School sophomore is accused of making social media threats and later telling police they were a joke. 

A student reportedly noticed the threats online and told parents who then notified police. 

Police were notified of the threats on Tuesday night and the teen was arrested after midnight. He has since been booked into the Durango Juvenile Detention Center. He was booked on charges of committing a hoax and interfering with an educational institution by making a threat. He could face other charges.
