Peoria police seek woman sought in string of vehicle, home burglaries at Arizona churches

PEORIA, AZ - Police departments across the Valley are investigating cases involving robbers targeting cars within church parking lots with the intent to burglarize their homes.

Amanda Jacinto, spokeswoman for the Peoria Police Department, said the suspect or suspects break into vehicles hoping to find a garage door opener that will allow them access into a owner's home. Then the suspect or suspects drive to the owner's home, open the garage door and burglarize the house.

Jacinto said in one case, a stolen credit card was used at a local business that had surveillance video and was able to capture a female attempting to use the credit card.

The Peoria Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the female.

Anyone with information is urged to call Peoria police at 623-773-8311 or Silent Witness at 48-WITNESS.
