Peoria police seek public's help identifying 2 suspected of stealing car, credit card

PEORIA, AZ - The Peoria Police Department is seeking the public's assistance to identify two suspected of stealing a Jeep and credit card.

On July 28, a man and a woman were caught on surveillance video attempting to use a stolen credit card linked to a vehicle stolen from a Peoria driveway near Beardsley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway.

After allegedly stealing the gray Jeep Cherokee with racing rims between midnight and 4 a.m., the suspects likely took a purse containing the card from an unlocked vehicle in the same driveway, according to the report.

Shortly after the vehicle was stolen, the male suspect reportedly tried to use the credit card at a store near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road.

The same suspect attempted to use the card again at a car wash with the female suspect, police said.

In both cases, the suspect was reported driving a silver Chevrolet Silverado truck.

He is described as a white male about 18 to 25 years old with brown hair. He was seen wearing a white hat.

The female suspect is 18 to 25 years old with blonde hair.

Police encourage those with information on these suspects to contact the Peoria Police Department by calling 623-773-7045 or emailing PDTips@peoriaaz.gov
