Peoria PD: Suspect robbed 2 pharmacies on same day

PEORIA, AZ - Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in two Peoria pharmacy robberies.

According to Peoria police, on Wednesday, March 19 just before 2 p.m. the suspect went into a grocery store pharmacy near 83rd Avenue and Cactus Road.

He presented a note to an employee demanding specific narcotic pills and said he had a gun.

The employee gave the suspect the pills and the suspect left the store, seen leaving in a black or dark-colored 4-door large sedan.

Police say that around 2:15 p.m. the same suspect went into another grocery store near 89th Avenue and Bell Road and again gave an employee a note demanding drugs and claiming to have a gun.

Once he got the drugs, the suspect was seen leaving the area in the same vehicle toward 91st Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 25-30 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 240 to 250 pounds.

During the robbery he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a Pirates baseball hat, black pants and black shoes.
