Peoria PD seeks public's help locating armed robbery suspects

PEORIA, AZ - The Peoria Police Department is seeking the public’s help locating two suspects wanted in an armed robbery at a big box store near 79th Avenue and Bell Road in Peoria Tuesday.

At about 5 p.m. Skyler Milligan, 19, entered the store and attempted to steal some electronic items but was stopped by a store employee, according to Amanda Jacinto, a Peoria Police spokeswoman. The store employee allowed Milligan to hand over the items and leave the store.

The second suspect, 20-year-old Aaron Burleson, then tried to purchase electronic items but his credit cards were denied. He tried to apply for a store card and filled out an application with his personal information.

When this application was denied he tried to leave the store with the electronics. As employees tried to stop him, Burleson pulled out a knife and threatened them, Jacinto said.

Burleson left the store and got into a 2007 gray Ford Taurus driven by Milligan, according to Jacinto. Police spotted the vehicle near 55th Avenue and Sweetwater but were unable to apprehend the suspects.

Jacinto said detectives have tried to contact both suspects but they continue to avoid arrest.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
