PEORIA, AZ - An argument between two brothers ended with one of them dead in Peoria.
Peoria Police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said officers were called to the scene near 85th and Grand avenues for a report of a shooting around 1 p.m.
Jacinto said two brothers had been arguing outside at an apartment complex and one shot the other.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He was identified as 42-year-old Matthew Wasar.
The victim's 39-year-old brother was taken into custody while trying to leave the scene.
The area of 85th Avenue between Grand and Peoria avenues was closed for several hours while police investigated.
Jacinto said the 38-year-old suspect faces charges of second-degree murder, burglary and kidnapping after breaking into his brother's apartment where there was also a roommate.
