PD: Man steals SUV with 20 guns inside

PEORIA, AZ - Peoria police are asking for the public's help as they try to crack a months' long case involving the theft of 20 guns.

The firearms were inside an SUV that was stolen from a convenience store in May. The SUV was found, but the firearms have never been recovered.

Investigators say the owner of the guns had car trouble at the store so a relative came to help.

After they finished transferring the owner's belongings -- including the guns -- to the relative's SUV, an unidentified man got into the driver seat and drove off.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walking into the store twice before the theft.

Authorities describe him as a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old with a large colorful tattoo on his forearm and a smaller tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.
