PEORIA, AZ - A 3-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after he was thrown from a car during a crash in Peoria Tuesday night
City of Peoria police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said the accident happened around 9 p.m. near 87th and Grand Avenues.
Jacinto said the boy, who was in a booster seat, is in stable condition. A five-month-old, who was in a car seat, and the children's mother suffered minor injuries.
Authorities said the pregnant driver of the other vehicle also had minor injuries. She was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.
Southbound Grand Avenue was closed from 91st to 87th Avenue for several hours while police investigated.
