MCSO: Husband, wife arrested in murder of Rolland Tockey found in Peoria canal

PEORIA, AZ - A man and woman have been arrested and linked to the death of a man whose body was found in a canal last week in Peoria.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office detectives said "evidence" linked Nathan Perez, 41, and his wife Billian Jean, 40, to the death of Rolland Tockey, 35.

A bicyclist first reported the finding of Tockey's body in a canal Wednesday, Aug. 20, near 71st Avenue and Greenway Road. Peoria police and fire first responded and then the investigation was transferred to MCSO.

MCSO said information led detectives to a home near 67th and Olive avenues where "further evidence of the murder was found."

Nathan Perez is being held on a $750,000 bond on suspicion of first-degree murder and concealing a dead body. Billie Jean was arrested and booked on charges of hindering prosecution. She is no longer in custody, however.
