PEORIA, AZ - A 20-year-old man had to be air-lifted to safety after falling from a trail into a ravine in the west Valley on Saturday.
Peoria police and fire spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said firefighters were not able to wheel the victim out of his location near Lake Pleasant Regional Park and had to use a Phoenix Fire Department helicopter to remove him.
Jacinto said the victim was taken to the hospital with multiple fractures. At last report he was in stable condition.
Peoria, Glendale and Phoenix fire crews helped with the rescue.
