Residents in Litchfield Park and Goodyear advised to boil drinking water

LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ - Residents of two West Valley communities are being advised to boil their tap water before drinking, after an equipment failure at a water company.

According to Liberty Utilities, they experienced an equipment malfunction at one of the water reservoirs used to provide water service to Litchfield Park and Goodyear north of Interstate 10.

The electrical malfunction caused low water pressure throughout the system.

Workers got the mechanical issue fixed overnight and water pressure has been returned to normal.

However, the utility company is advising residents to boil water as a precaution until further notice by the company or the Arizona Department of Environmental quality.

Liberty Utilities has approximately 17,000 customers in Litchfield Park and north Goodyear.
