LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ - Have you met Betsy yet?
She is a 2-week-old South American Tapir who was born at the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium.
Her handler, Kristy Morcom, of the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium visited the ABC15 studios to tell us a bit more about her.
While Betsy may look like a pig, she is more related to horses and rhinos. Eventually, Morcom said, she will grow up to be nearly 500 pounds!
The Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium is located at 16501 W Northern Avenue in Litchfield Park. The zoo is open everyday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. The aquarium is open until 9 p.m.
Admission: Adults - $29, Children (3-12) $14.25, and children under 3 are free.
