Phoenix police and Silent Witness are asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of stealing a victim's wallet and breaking his ankle in the process.

Police say just before 9 p.m. on June 11 a 20-year-old man waited outside the Valero near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road for the victim to exit the store.

After the suspect exchanged several words with the 38-year-old victim, he reportedly grabbed the victim's wallet.

As the victim tried to take his wallet back, he was reportedly kicked by the suspect which caused him to fall and break his ankle.

Police say the suspect along with several other men fled in a gold Chevy sedan that was being driven by a white woman.

Authorities describe the suspect as African-American, 5 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and a black baseball hat.
