A crash between two motorcycles at a Goodyear intersection seriously injured two people.

Firefighters with the Goodyear Fire Department were called out to 181st Avenue and Elliot Road after two motorcycles collided at the intersection.

A passenger and a driver who were on the first motorcycle were seriously injured and taken to hospitals. The driver of the second motorcycle was not injured.

Fire crews said a man, who police say is in his 60s, was riding on the first motorcycle and was found unresponsive; paramedics performed CPR on the man. The Goodyear Fire Department said it's unknown whether he will survive. An 18-year-old woman, who was also riding on the same motorcycle as the man, was responsive, but did have chest injuries.

Both individuals are in critical condition, the Goodyear Police Department said. No helmets were worn.

Police said speed and impairment did play a factor in the collision.
