GOODYEAR, AZ - A man has been arrested after authorities believe a suspected drug lab caused an acidic odor that forced the evacuation of a Goodyear apartment complex.
The Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force arrested the 21-year-old resident of the apartment in connection with dangerous drug possession, equipment for manufacturing and dangerous drug manufacture.
The task force is made up of federal and local agencies from across the state.
Goodyear police say the task force confirmed that the drug lab in the Desert Sage Apartment Complex was used to produce hallucinogenic drugs.
Eight apartments were evacuated Wednesday morning after an anonymous caller reported an acidic odor to police.
Officers found a flammable chemical in the apartment and called task force officials
