Police search for suspect after Goodyear credit union robbery

GOODYEAR, AZ - Goodyear police are working to locate the suspect in a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say officers responded just before 2 p.m. to the Canyon State Credit Union on Dysart Road near Interstate 10 where witnesses described the suspect as a light-skinned Black or Hispanic male.

Goodyear police say the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money after handing the teller a demand note.

The suspect then left the scene on foot heading north toward the Lowe’s parking lot.

He was last seen near the garden center at the store, according to police.

The Goodyear K-9 unit responded to track the suspect. Police say the FBI Task Force has also been called in.
