Goodyear FD: 3 hurt after multi-car crash with fire

GOODYEAR, AZ - Three people are hurt after a multi-car wreck near McDowell and Litchfield roads Friday morning, according to the Goodyear Fire Department. 

Goodyear fire said they responded to a three-car collision and found two cars on fire. 

Additional units responded to control the fire and treat multiple patients. Good Samaritans pulled all of the victims from the burning vehicles. 

Fire officials say one person was reported to be trapped but was removed from the car by bystanders before first responders arrived on scene. 

Two of the patients were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

The driver who caused the collision had reportedly been running from a hit-and-run collision in Avondale, according to information at the scene.

Officials are looking into whether the driver who caused the collision was impaired.
