A Valley woman escaped her own home that went up in flames overnight in Glendale.
According to fire officials, a house fire erupted near 51st and Northern avenues. Firefighters were able to clear the scene, but neighbors say the smoke filled the community and woke them up.
The homeowner, a woman, was able to escape from the house on her own, along with her two dogs.
Officials say she made it out through a back entrance or window of the home. She is expected to be okay.
