A teenage boy is hospitalized after being shot in Glendale.

Police were called to the area of Olive and 57th avenues around 2 p.m. on Thursday after receiving reports about a shooting.

According to a Glendale police spokesperson, a 17-year-old boy, and several others, were walking southbound on 57th Avenue when he got into a verbal altercation with a person driving a white sedan.

The driver shot at the teen, police said. The boy is hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury.

Authorities are continuing to search for the suspect involved.
