Police investigating officer-involved shooting in Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ - Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Glendale.
Glendale police say the incident started around 9 p.m. at a Wells Fargo Bank near 67th Avenue and Bell Road.
A woman called police after she was approached by a man with a gun. The suspect fled the scene, but the woman was able to get his license plate number and report it to police.
An officer was able to track the license plate number to a house near 67th and Peoria Avenues.

When the officer arrived on scene, he located the suspect who was still inside his vehicle.
Police say at some point, the suspect made contact with the officer. Authorities say the officer felt threatened for his life and shot and killed the suspect. Police say the suspect was holding a weapon when he was killed.
Authorities say no officers were hurt during the incident.
The suspect's name is not being released at this time.
