GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale detectives have made an arrest in the shooting of two people Tuesday night, one of whom died from her injuries.
Police arrested Angelo Medina, 22, Wednesday afternoon after he was determined to be a suspect in the death of 42-year-old Christina Marquez and the shooting of another man.
Officers responded to a residence near 59th and State avenues in Glendale and found Marquez and a man with gunshot wounds. Police said they suspect Medina knocked on the front door around 9 p.m. and fired several shots into the residence before fleeing the scene.
The shooting appears to have been motivated by a child custody dispute, police said.
Medina could face charges of second degree murder, aggravated assault and discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.
