PD: Woman accused of luring boy for sex through social media, may be other victims

GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale police said a 23-year-old woman was arrested for having a sexual relationship with at least one 13-year-old boy.

According to court documents, Anna Rosa Hernandez admitted she had contact with as many as 20 underage boys online.

Police arrested Hernandez after they got a call from a woman saying Hernandez was having sex with her son.

"They learned that she had been contacting juveniles through several social media sites, one being Facebook," Glendale Police Officer Tracey Breeden said.

Police said the woman pretended to be a 14 or 15-year-old and used the names "Tiny" and "Ana" Hernandez.  Court documents showed she gave the boy a sexually transmitted disease and that she told his mother she was pregnant.

"The police department is very concerned that there may be other victims out there," Breeden said.

Investigators stress victims in this case could live anywhere. They ask that you talk to your kids about the dangers of social media and let them know that sometimes, adults pretend to be kids to lure them in.

You should also keep tabs on your childrens' social media sites, knowing there are always new ways to communicate.

Also, realize it's not just on the computer. Check your kids' email and text messages, make sure nothing in there raises a red flag. If it does, don't hesitate to call police.
