GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a police impersonator who struck last month.
On October 7, a woman told police she was pulled over near 72nd Avenue and Deer Valley Road by a white Ford Crown Victoria with flashing lights in the front grill.
The man in the car was wearing a brown utility suit with cloth badges. She said he punched her in the face knocking her unconscious. When she came to, he was gone and hadn't taken anything from her.
"It can happen in any neighborhood," said Lynn who lives nearby. "I hope if I felt funny about it, I would call 911 to make sure it is a real police person pulling me over."
So far police are calling this is an isolated incident.
