GLENDALE, AZ - Police say an elderly man shot and killed his wife and then took his own life Monday night in Glendale.
According to Glendale police Sgt. Brent Coombs, officers found the couple deceased in their home around 9:30 p.m. near Olive and 63rd avenues after a welfare call.
Coombs said 86-year-old George Deckard and 86-year-old Margaret Deckard were dealing with various medical issues, and the husband left a note behind.
The details of the note were consistent with what investigators found at the scene, revealing that George Deckard shot his wife before shooting himself, Coombs said.
No other details were available.
