PD: 1 dead after shooting outside convenience store in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ - One person is dead after being shot outside of a convenience store in Glendale on Monday morning.

According to Glendale police, the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. at 99th Avenue and Camelback Road.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a 26-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his body. The man was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police told ABC15 an adult white male was pumping gas into his vehicle and went inside the convenience store. When the man left the store, an employee confronted the suspect for an unknown reason. The suspect and victim got into an altercation, the employee was then shot several times.

The suspect is described as an adult white male, weighing 180 to 200 pounds.

Tempe police said the suspect's vehicle matches the description of Sunday's Buckeye shooting and Monday morning's US 60 shooting.
