GLENDALE, AZ - A motorcyclist has died in an accident in Glendale.
Glendale police Officer Sean Gaston said the crash happened just after 7 p.m. at 67th and Missouri avenues.
Gaston said the motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle which left the scene.
The vehicle struck a second vehicle while heading north on 67th Avenue.
The driver stopped and several witnesses chased down the suspect and held him down until police arrived.
The suspect is now in custody. Impairment is believed to be a factor.
Jose Morales with the Glendale Fire Department said the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
A second patient had minor injuries.
There is a road closure along 67th Avenue from Bethany Home Road to Camelback Road while police conduct the investigation. There was no word on how long the closure would last.
