Glendale police searching for sexual assault suspect

GLENDALE, AZ - Police are asking for the public's help locating a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Glendale.

Glendale police spokeswoman Tracey Breeden said the attack happened September 29 around 10:45 p.m. near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road.

Breeden said the 15-year-old girl was on her way home from visiting a friend when an adult male approached her in a vehicle.

The suspect forced her at gunpoint into his vehicle and then drove to a car wash nearby and sexually assaulted the girl.

Authorities say the suspect was seen on surveillance video purchasing condoms at a convenience store shortly before the attack occurred.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 27 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build and weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black and blue striped American Eagle shirt and designer jeans. He also has a mole under his right eye. At the time of the incident, he had a thin beard and mustache.

He is believed to be driving a newer model, silver colored Toyota FJ cruiser with a white roof and black roof rack.
