Glendale police search for suspects after woman has purse stolen

GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale police are looking for the public’s help after a woman was shoved and had her purse stolen in a Valley parking lot.

According to a Glendale Police Department news release, the incident happened outside a Walmart near 83rd Avenue and Union Hills Drive around 4:45 p.m. on January 27.

Authorities say the elderly woman was leaving the store when she was approached by two people in a white Cadillac.

As the vehicle drove past the victim, a male leaned out the passenger side window, shoved the victim and grabbed her purse from her arm.

The vehicle then sped off with the victim’s purse.

Police say the value of the purse and its contents are approximately $5,000-$5,500.

The vehicle, which was captured on surveillance video, appears to be a mid to late 90s Cadillac Sedan Deville.

Authorities say detectives have at this point exhausted all leads in the case and are turning to the public for assistance.
