GLENDALE, AZ - Police say a car ran a red light and struck a woman walking along a Glendale street Tuesday afternoon.
The pedestrian was with her 2-year-old son, but he was not hit, said Tracy Breeden with Glendale police.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 75th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Breeden said a sedan ran a red light and struck a vehicle before it was propelled toward the street corner.
That's when the sedan struck the 30-year-old female pedestrian, Breeden said.
The 42-year-old female driver who ran the red light and the female pedestrian were both transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
The pedestrian's son appears to be physically OK.
Air15 video of the scene showed a sedan hanging off the side of a canal, and a minivan in the intersection with front-end damage.
The condition of the minivan driver is unknown.
