GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale’s annual Chocolate Affaire kicked off Friday and runs through Sunday, just in time for Valentine’s Day treats.
Chocolatiers from around the state and the country come to the festival with their creative confections, from kettlecorn to nuts to chocolate kabobs.
The event is sponsored by candy company Cerreta’s, and tours of the factory will be offered all weekend, according to festival organizers.
The festival also brings together the largest group of romance novelists in the Southwest, so fans can meet their favorites and attend writing workshops.
Kids’ activities include arts and crafts, face painting, rock climbing and carnival rides.
The festival takes place at Murphy Park on 58th and Glendale avenues from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
